DiDEE is a Foundation working in an close, strong international network in Eastern Europe on Human Rights, Democracy, Development and European Integration and is founded in 2005. DiDEE has also a focus since 2008 on Africa, Asia and South America. We are based in the center of Amsterdam in The Netherlands where we would like to welcome you. From its office in Amsterdam, DiDEE coordinates its work and expands its network. Also this is the place to develop new ideas and projects. The mission of DiDEE is to facilitate organizations in European Union, Eastern Europe, Balkan and Caucasus region that stimulate the participation of youth in society for a strong, active, international citizenship with a long term perspective.

The main goal is to identify local people in these areas that are able to set this up, and facilitate, train and helping them, so they can implement this knowledge and experience further. DiDEE has shown its commitment to the different regions by being actively involved in a variety of projects.

DiDEE took part in activities in Eastern Europe like Moldova, Ukraine etc in projects around election observation missions with the support of the European Parliament and did projects in about Youth Unemployment, Active Citizenship and Conflict Management. In Caucasus region DiDEE organized projects in the field of Human Rights in Georgia and Armenia.

In the European Union DiDEE works together with several partners to establish a strong network for the future and so has regular meetings and projects within the EU. DiDEE works in unofficial and informal structures but wants to function as the place where (Dutch) young people with a specific interest for our goals unite and work on active participation in society and youth involvement for a stable and united Europe in the future.
